AI visibility tools show whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini and Google's AI answers mention your brand when buyers ask for a recommendation. The category barely existed two years ago. Now there are dozens of AI search visibility tools, and their pricing models are hard to compare. This guide lines up the ones worth a look, using the price on each vendor's own pricing page as of October 2026.
How to compare AI visibility tools
Almost every tool sells the same unit: a prompt, which is a question you want tracked, run against a set of AI models on a schedule. So the fairest comparison is cost per tracked prompt, then which models are covered, then what you can do with the data.
- Cost per prompt: monthly price divided by prompts tracked daily.
- Model coverage: ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews are table stakes. Perplexity, Claude and Gemini matter more every month.
- Competitors and sources: you need to see who is mentioned instead of you, and which pages the AI cited.
- Link to revenue: mentions are a vanity metric until you can see the traffic and the money they produce.
1. StatSip
StatSip tracks visibility, position, sentiment and sources across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude, and it is the only tool here that ties AI search traffic to revenue from Stripe. Analytics is $20 a month. Growth is $79 for 25 daily prompts on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude, with sources and citations.
2. Peec AI
Peec AI is the mid-market favourite, with clean reporting on visibility, position and sentiment, unlimited seats and a Looker Studio connector on higher plans. Self-serve plans let you pick 3 models. Published reviews list Starter at $95 a month for 50 prompts ($1.90 per prompt), Pro at $245 for 150 and Advanced at $495 for 350.
3. Profound
Profound is the enterprise pick. Its Enterprise plan covers nine engines including Copilot, DeepSeek and Exa, plus agent analytics and ChatGPT Shopping. The pricing page lists a free 7-day trial with 50 prompts and custom pricing after that, so expect a sales process.
4. Otterly AI
Otterly AI is the cheapest entry point: Lite is $29 a month for 15 prompts across ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot. Standard is $189 for 100 prompts and Premium $489 for 400. It also includes GEO URL audits, which check pages for AI readiness.
5. Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit
If your team already lives in Semrush, the AI Visibility Toolkit adds an AI Visibility Score, prompt research, competitor research and sentiment for $99 a month. It tracks 25 prompts daily ($3.96 per prompt) and has no free trial.
6. Ahrefs Brand Radar and other SEO suites
Most large SEO suites now ship an AI mentions report. They are convenient if you already pay for the suite, but tracking is usually shallower than a dedicated tool and nothing links back to revenue.
7. DIY with spreadsheets
You can ask ChatGPT your top ten buyer questions every Monday and log the answers. It is free and teaches you a lot, but answers vary by session, location and model, so manual checks miss most of the picture once you track more than a handful of prompts.
Which AI visibility tool should you pick?
- Tight budget, few prompts: Otterly Lite.
- Already on Semrush: the Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit.
