How to find B2B buyers from LinkedIn engagement

The people commenting on posts about your problem are telling you they care about it this week. Here is how to turn that into a short list worth writing to.

Most outbound lists answer one question: who matches my ideal customer? They never answer the more useful one: who is thinking about my problem right now? LinkedIn engagement is one of the few public places where that second answer shows up.

When someone comments on a post about replacing SDRs, falling reply rates or choosing a CRM, they are telling everyone what is on their mind this week. That is a signal, and signals decay fast.

1. Pick topics your buyers argue about

Skip your product category. Pick the pain behind it, phrased the way buyers phrase it: "cold email reply rates", "hiring SDRs", "outbound for agencies". Three tight topics beat ten loose ones, because the posts they surface attract the right crowd.

2. Weigh comments above reactions

A reaction is a tap. A comment is a sentence someone chose to write in public. Comments that ask a question ("what are people using instead?") are the strongest intent you will find outside a demo request.

3. Score against your ideal customer, then cut hard

Popular posts pull in vendors, recruiters, students and consultants selling to the same audience. They engage loudly and never buy. Score every person on role fit and intent, and drop anyone under a clear threshold. A list of 30 strong fits beats 300 maybes.

4. Write about what they said

The reason to reach out is already in their comment. Reference the post, add one useful idea, and ask a small question. No pitch in the first message. You are continuing a conversation they started, which is why these emails get answered.

This is exactly what a StatSip agent does on every run: it reads the week's posts on your topics, collects everyone who engaged, scores them against your ideal customer and hands you the best fits with a work email and a one-line reason to write.

Let an agent find these people for you.
